293 A large, Federal organization has acquired 46PB of raw Scality storage (34PB usable), to build an Active Archive, replacing their tape-based archives. The archive is deployed over 4 sites, to ensure durability and availability to end users in different geographic locations. Key RING benefits for the customer were the Scality RING intelligent data protection (mixing erasure coding and replication) and the flexibility Scality offers in hardware selection. The low management effort and unlimited scalability features will enable the organization to grow the archive over the next decades without migration or forklift upgrades.
